About me!
Hi! Iām Catherine Healy.
I founded Capable Minds in April 2020 because I believe in providing accessible counselling support to people living in our local, rural communities.
I am a Social Worker who provides counselling therapy to children, adolescents and adults. I have a Bachelor of Social Work degree and a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Science with training, and a particular interest in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I aim to support you to develop an awareness and understanding of your experiences and build your capacity to heal and lead a meaningful life.
A few more things!
I have always believed that every person has the ability to change and grow from experiences that challenge us. I feel privileged that people choose to trust me to share their stories and experiences with and to support them in the healing process.
Outside of the office I am a Mum, a wife, a musician, a lover of chocolate and a supporter of our local, rural communities.
Having grown up in rural NSW, I have a passion for supporting and empowering the people in our communities. I know and value the importance of connection and community.
